Robin & Wife Split After 9 Years

Robin and his wife Paula Patton have split after 9 years together. They have a son who is 3. The couple has called the split a 'mutual agreement'. It had been noted that the pairs relationship had been on the rocks for a while. After Robins performance at the VMA's with Miley Cyrus twerking on him and causing controversy, it was clear things weren't right. The couple described the base on which their relationship did work. It was laughter that kept them strong. The pair has said they will both remain the best of friends. Having met when they were teenagers and falling in love and getting married at an early age. The two have said they will love each other always.

WhatsApp to add voice calls

WhatsApp to be 'more' like Skype

WhatsApp Messenger, having just been bought by Facebook for a whopping £12b is now to add a voice calling feature to it's already impressive list. So far you can send pictures and video, and can send short voice notes. Now however the company wants to allow users to make free voice calls.  The added feature would work much like Skype does. 

WhatsApp's chief executive Jan Koum said in a statement "We want to have WhatsApp on every phone in the world".

Perhaps getting a little carried away, but with the full force of Facebook now behind the messenger, this is just one feature, in a list of more yet to come. Users are concerned over the privacy issues and the cross platform abilities being different. A new feature for some allows users to turn off the 'last seen' time stamp. Xbox One Price Slash

Microsoft to match Sony

Microsoft is to drop the price of the Xbox One to match the price of the PlayStation 4. The move comes after Sonys' console is outselling the Xbox One by two to one. The price will drop to £399 this coming Friday. This is only in the UK at the moment. Harvey Eagle, Xboxs' marketing director says now feels like the right time, he was quoted in an interview with the BBC saying "The reason we're doing this is that we're committed to giving gamers the best value that we can."

"We're only a few months into a generation of consoles that are going to last for many years to come," he added.

A new bundle with Titanfall will be available for £399 although the game is not due for release until March. So any early takers of this new bundle will have to wait before being able to play. 

With around 520 million PlayStation 4's sold worldwide and this price decrease coming just 3 months after the launch of the Xbox One, and with customers who have already shelled out for the original high cost, will this help improve sales for Microsoft?

Samsung Galaxy S5

Biometrics included

The new Samsung Galaxy S5 is due for release in April 2014. The phone will have a similar feature to that of Apple's iPhone 5s, in which the home button will double up as a biometric scanner, allowing the user to unlock the phone without the need of a passcode. The cool features don't end there though.

Design

The phone's design is more solid, being made of a metal surround and ditching the plastic feel from its predecessor, the S4. Though there is still plastic, it has a lot more grip and feels pleasant in the hand.The build quality has improved as well. The device is bigger then that of the S3 and S4 and is dust proof and waterproof. The phone weighs in at 145g, 15g heavier than the S4. It's size is 142x72.5x8.1mm. It will come with a range of new colours too.

Processing power

It comes packed with a 2.5Ghz Quad-core processor which almost matches that of the Samsun Galaxy Note 3, though the memory is just 2GB.

Screen

5.1-inch FHD Super AMOLED (1920 x 1080) Although the device is less sharp, having dropped its ppi down to 415 from the previous 441, largely thanks to this screen being 5.1 inches up from the 5 inches, the colour is much better on the S5. Movies shown playing were of much higher quality than before. Again worth noting both dust proof and waterproof.

Operating System

Samsung has of course stuck with using Android as their flagship operating system, and the handset will ship with Kit-kat 4.4.2. However it will not be the full Android experience, as once again Samsung have overlayed their TouchWiz user interface over the top. The device has a multitude of new and updated apps from Samsung, one being the Quick Connect. This brings the likes of AirPlay and AirDrop into one place. You can also stream using DLNA, making the device very connected within the home. USB 3.0 will feature and is also protected by a cover.

Camera and Battery

The S4 had a 13MP camera and the S5 has an upgraded 16MP rear facing camera and a 2MP front facing one. The phone can video in 4K resolution at 30fps. That's incredible for such a small  device. It also features video stabilising. The device can auto focus in 0.3 seconds. The fastest of any smartphone. Also features selective focus. This is a new technology that allows the user to select an area of focus, after a picture is taken. The phone also now includes a reflector integrated flash LED. This means essentially that everyone in a picture will be illuminated rather than those just in the centre. It also means better night time photos also. We shall see if this is actually the case soon. 

The battery comes in at 2800mAh. This means around 390hours standby time, and roughly 21 hours talk time.

                                                                                                                                                                   

The phone also comes with a new feature that allows you to split your downloads between Wifi and 3/4G. Allowing potentially faster download times. 

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is due out this April, with yet no confirmed price tag. However industry experts have estimated the device will sit at around, wait for it... £545.

Now You See Me

Sequel to start filming this September

Now You See Me, the sequel, is to begin filming in September this year.Locations are thought to  be in the U.S, Europe and Asia. Although a script is yet to be penned, there is confirmation the four main characters; Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco are all set to return. As is the director Louis Leterrier. With the success of the first film, Lionsgate wants to build on this and say it could become a franchise. With all the recent swathe of remakes, it is invigorating to see a change. Taking over $293m worldwide it is safe to say the $73m budget was well used.

Eisenberg may have a scheduling problem, given his commitment to make Batman Vs Superman, whose shoot is likely to overlap.

Louis Leterrier recently gave an interview about the sequel:

We're actively working on the sequel to Now You See Me, so that is happening. We're writing it, and it's pretty fun. We had such a great time doing that, and we loved the characters.

Our biggest problem now is that we have too many great ideas. We're sort of saying, 'What if he would do that? That would be amazing, I want to see this, I want to see that.'

We want it to be intense and as twisty as the first one, but also learn more about the characters and go deeper, what a great sequel should do. That's going to take not too long, but enough so, just like in the first one, it's perfectly crafted.

Johhny Depp-arts

Actor says he is nearing retirement

Johnny Depp has said that retirement is closer then some may think. After his role in the final Pirates of The Caribbean movie he may well give up with acting. In an interview with BBC Breakfast, he was asked 'if there was a "danger" he would give up acting, and this was his response:

"At a certain point you start thinking, when you add up the amount of dialogue that you say per year, for example, and you realize that you’ve said written words more than you’ve had a chance to say your own words, you start thinking about that as a kind of insane option for a human being. Are there quieter things that I wouldn’t mind doing? You know, yeah. I wouldn’t mind that. I wouldn’t say that I’m dropping out any second, but I would say that it’s probably not too far away."

With Depp also saying that his acting career seems to be taking over his 'normal' life, he is sure to be seriously considering this. However should a huge blockbuster title come out of the works anytime soon, who is to say he won't change his mind? It has been said that his films of late have not been to the standard people have come to expect from Depp, so perhaps the latest in the Pirates franchise can help change this. What do you think?

Disneys Frozen Review

Positive outlook for Disney's latest animated wonder

So Disney has been quoted as saying their new animated musical Frozen is the best release since that of the Lion King. With a comedy that is unmatched in previous attempts, this film really does tug at the heart strings. Based upon two sisters sharing a happy childhood, and playing happily together, though this turns sour when Elsa, the sister due to take the thrown of Erindale, chooses to hide herself away, so as not to harm her loved ones with a power only known to herself and her parents. 

The video above shows Disney's 2 minute trailer for the film and shows some of the comedy, the anguish and the fight within the film.

The songs within the film are very well written and feature heavily throughout. 

Having seen the film myself, it is my opinion that Disney have once again managed to capture a story that encompasses all that should be in a Disney Animated Classic. Love, laughter, heartache, fight, and triumph all feature in this family driven musical.

A must see for anyone who knows the feeling they had from seeing the Lion King, and a must watch for those with a love of Disney 'sing-a-long' Films.
